The pattern is Simplicity 2268. A fairly easy pattern, that didn't really fit her too well. She is on the tiny side for her age weight-wise, but on the taller side for height. I cut the smallest size (3T) but made it longer (4T). I had to hack off 4" off of each side of the skirt, which is crazy and added three lines of smocking to the front and back to get rid of the gaping. I like how it looks and for just my second hand made dress for her in her life, I'm glad she actually likes this one.
She and I had fun swimming and sewing along with Latrice for Labor Day and even got a new dress for my mini-me (according to everyone, even though I still don't see it). I'm planning on making the cardigan from this pattern as well as a woven, button-front dress for her.....after I sew for me of course. Stay tuned.

Okay you may not see it but she is the splitting image of you and totally adorable! Love the dress and you will sew more for her as she grows. I didn't sew much for my daughters when they were that age but about 4-5 I really start to sew for them...somehow the pieces didn't seem so small.
OMG she totally looks like you, but I understand. I didn't think Jack looked lime me for the longest time. Love the dress. But sewing for little ones is always tricky. Her dress is so cute!
Nilah! She's grown so much. I agree with the others she really does look like you. I have made a few dresses and PJ's for my Raven who will be 3 in November. I don't like sharing my sewing time but I do like that the clothes go together so quickly because they are so little. She's adorable.
How adorable! I was stingy with my fabric so that is why I never sewed for the girls, but now that I've done a few things I wish I had started sooner. Now I feel like they may be getting to old to enjoy my handmade things.
Oh my goodness! I can't believe how big she is getting! Great job on the dress... what a pain to have to alter it so much.
My Baby Girl, now 21, was long and lean too. I remember cutting size 2 in the top/shoulders and size 6 in length for a jumper I made three times. Could not find jeans for that child. And back then tummy shirts were the rage... hard to find a t shirt to cover her long torso. Belly buttons were not allowed at elementary school.
OH YES, she does look like you! She's gotten so big now! I love this adorable dress! Be careful, you may create a little Diva who will want many more outfits from Mommy! :)
She looks EXACTLY like you!! Even her facial expressions! (I say as someone who has never met you in person...but still! :) ) And she is absolutely gorgeous. OMG. I can't believe how big she's gotten! Love the dress, too. :)
