So I was planning on wearing this shirt with a skirt I'm making on Monday. After cutting the skirt, I fear it will be too short to wear to work. I am still excited to make the skirt for weekend wear, but will need to rethink my work wardrobe later. With all of that said, here is my final outfit for week 3 of Me-Made-May. I decided to throw on my newly made Sorbetto top to end off the week. It is a really great pattern. I think others have mentioned the length, which I also agree is a tad on the short side. I think in the future, I may add a few inches to the bottom. That's pretty minor stuff for a free pattern. This shell is perfect for the weekend and for work. You can download the pattern by Collete Patterns here.
Here's the breakdown of Me-Made-June Week 3 going clockwise:
* Butterick 5246 dress
* Butterick 5496 top, Vogue 8604 high-waist skirt
* Butterick 4789 black & white knotted dress
* Simplicity 2590 cardigan, New Look 6470 top
* New Look 6912 dress
* Colette Patterns - Sorbetto Top
* New Look 6816 top, Simplicity 2618 black knit pants

Sorbetto indeed...the fabric reminds me of ice-cream:). The top looks lovely on you.
The variety of styles and styling in your MMJ wardrobe is just fantastic and makes you a real fashionista.
I saw you on Flickr and havent been over here for awhile. I love all your different looks!
Well done! love that top!
Great choices, very fashionable. I like the black and white dotted dress, so off to Butterick I go. And the Sorbetto top is just too cute and I am thinking of gobs of things I can do with it. Thanks for sharing the link to download it.
I love your version of Sorbetto and would agree about adding a couple of inches to the top. I actually printed that pattern out and taped it up on Thursday night, so I will be making one of these up shortly. I love all your outfits from this past week. I especially like the black and white Butterick 4789.
your blog is great. I love your fierce photos ! xx
Cute top!
I just discovered your blog through the MMJ flickr group and am glad I did. Your creations are fantastic and I love how chic and proud you look in your photos. I'm working on a Sorbetto too! (Had to set it aside this weekend to take my daughter's Girl Scouts troop camping...) How did you find the size of your printout and the size of the pattern? I think it may be a bit small in the bosom for me (even in 18) and I am not skilled enough to size up the pattern properly. (I just added on a seam allowance.) Hmmm.
Love all of them! I so wish you lived close, and you could teach me how to run my sewing machine.
thanks for the comment! your sorbetto is really cute.
The tank looks great. And thanks for the download link. Your Me Made Week is exceptional.
I love that fabric. Of all the Sorbettos I've seen, and I've viewed several, because I'm going to make some, your print is one of my favorites.
Very cute project.
