Here is my second version of the Vogue 8634 top. I made this one earlier in the week while my nieces were visiting my parents and sister during their school break. This top is a winner for me.
For this version I made view C with a few alterations. Because of the lack of fabric, I had to make a smaller collar. I also lowered the location of the empire seam on this version as compared to my original version that has the seam sitting right below my chest.
I have a feeling there will be even more of these in my wardrobe, but not right away. I have now moved onto anther pattern - New Look 6816. I have the pattern and fabric already cut out for one of the tops. It is a 2-hour pattern which will work great now that I have the little one wanting Mommy time. I plan on making it tomorrow while watching a movie with the fam.
Only one week left before I go back to San Diego. I am happy to get back to warmer weather, even with San Diego's rain, but am not excited to get back to work soon. Boooo! What is great? My Mother is flying back with Nilah and me and staying for a few weeks. That will help me out with the transition for sure!
In other news, I have joined Casey's Swing Dress Sew-Along over at Elegant Musings. I have ordered my 1940s swing dress pattern at Sense & Sensibility and am scouring my favorite online fabric stores for suitable fabric. I really like the time frame Casey has given everyone for this sew-along. I plan on using all the time given to keep up with the group, including the muslin making portion! This is huge for me. Well, I do plan on having it be a wearable muslin is possible, but either way it is still a muslin! Can you tell I'm excited?
More to come....

I like what you've done to this top. It's a great fit and you look good in it. Love it.
Another great top! I love the colours - those rich plum tones really suit you. I think the smaller collar has worked out very well.
Looks great! The print is pretty and it's a great color on you.
NL 6816 is one of my favorite patterns! I've made both top and pants multiple times. You'll love it!
Very pretty
Nice! This and the last top both look fabulous on you! And they seem like great staples. I'm so thrilled to hear that you are still having some time to craft even post-baby (gives me some hope!). That's great that your mom can come home to San Diego with you for awhile. (Working post-baby is also freaking me out.)
Love the top. I'm jealous of your wardrobe.
Beautiful, and the fabric looks so nice on you. How's the little miss doing?
great top! have you made any baby clothes yet?
Cute top and your baby is absolutely gorgeuos!!
So pretty! Fits you so well. Do you ever go to a store to buy clothes? Stupid question. Why would you!
