Here's my progress of Rusted Root. I'm on Row 18, which doesn't sound like I'm too far, but I'm really happy with it so far. I think the color is gorgeous and the texture feels yummy. I'm a big fan of textured clothing and Rusted Root delivers. Despite only being on Row 18, I feel like it's going fairly fast. We have company from San Francisco, so not too much knitting time this week. My goal is to get 26 more rows done - putting me at the Row 45, where the directions get a bit more specific. I do have a barbecue to go to, but I'm optimistic.

Looking good so far!!! I like that pattern!
LOve that color!!!
I really love that color too!
I had a heck of a time posting my progress on blogger too.
It is a pretty pattern and I like the color you've chosen.
So glad you posted a progress pic...I need to do one too before the weekend gets here!
Your doing good! As always!!
Love that color. I am having a hard time deciding on the different shades of red. Is your picture pretty accurate??
I have been thinking about knitting that pattern--but maybe with longer sleeves. I like the color you chose, but I am not familiar with that yarn. What is the source?
I used Cotton Fleece in Candy Apple. It's a discontinued color that I found on Sheep Shed online. They were discussing the site on Crafster and I gave it a shot. I actually bought enough to make mine and one for my sister for under $30. The color is not as deep as the picture shows, but very pretty. I'll make sure to take my next progress pic in the sunlight.
I forgot to ask you - how are you doing the sleeve "minibobbles"? I am getting stuck on those as it seems like my stitch count is off. Any hints or tips you can offer me on that?
The first time I did it, it was wrong, but now that I restarted, it's been fine. The lace pattern will not always be just 15 stitches, sometimes it's more, but at least 15 stitches. For the even rows - I look back at the row before and just make sure I'm knitting everything except the purl stitches. Sometimes it's hard to see directly with the lace - so going back to the row before to make sure I purl when it is a purl has helped.
I think that color will look F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S on you..
or me.. ha.
"Nice work!" from Vermont.
ooohh - i love that color.
rusted root is my next project. :)
Like everybody else, I absolutely love the color. And you have enough for two? Your sister is really lucky.
