Orangina in the Front

After missing several increases on my Somewhat Cowl, I have put it aside and started Orangina by Glampyre Knits. It's a sexy shell that can go from work to evening with just a few alterations and accessory changes. I plan on frogging my Somewhat Cowl piece and restarting later this weekend after getting a hefty amount of Orangina done.

Oooh - Orangina looks great. I'm adding that one to my list. Which yarn is that?

Ya know, I got frustrated with the Somewhat Cowl myself - I don't think I missed any increases but for some reason the Alpaca & Silk must have been turning around on my needle (and the yarn from the skein was twisting up alot) so I frogged mine. I found some patterns from Blue Sky Alpacas that call for that yarn to be held doubled and I think that may be just the ticket for all the twisting up. I might knit the Somewhat Cowl again, but I don't think I would with the Alpaca & Silk.

More than you wanted to know, right?

I'm using two different yarns - for the front, top portion - I'm using Svale in a lavendar. The ribbing and the entire back is going to be done in Amethyst - Nature Spun by the Brown Sheep Company. I think it will give it a little something extra.

Wow! Great progress on the Orangina! But I'm bummed for you on the Somewhat Cowl...I was living vicariously through you to see how the pattern was working before I started mine (it looks so cute and I have the Alpaca & Silk in my stash). I'm glad you haven't given it up completely....You sure can whip out the sweaters! You go girl! Great job!

I'll get to the Somewhat Cowl for sure. Now that I know where I missed my increases, it should be fine the next try.
