FO - I Heart You Quilt

Despite my ever growing belly, I have been fairly productive on the crafting front. Knowing I will be in the house for a while one little girl comes into the world, I am trying to get out a bit more for social activities. I have managed to go to:

* Two quilting groups
* La Mesa Knitting Meet-up
* Two Sisters and Ewe Knitting Class - Two Socks at Once using the Magic Loop Method
* Turkey Dinner at Liz's house with Patty

That is a lot for me!

So while I was at Liz's last night, I finished hand sewing the binding on for my baby quilt. I am happy with how it turned out.

The pattern I used for the front of the quilt was very easy and the back side was from a design in my head. I purchased my fabric from Beverly's while my Mom was visiting late last month. Now this is my fourth quilt that I have every made, and my third baby quilt. So far, I have used a piece of fabric that I have picked up during my travels to Africa. This quilt is not exception. The two large pieces on the back of the quilt are using "Zitenje" fabric from Malawi. I really like how this one turned out, especially with the pink stippling.

Yummy food, great company, and cat time!

As far as current projects are going....I still have to finish my baby hoodie, cast on for the Baby February sweater, and continue on the socks that I started from my knitting class.

With the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday around the corner, I have a feeling I will manage just fine. lol

Susan, Your quilt is beautiful. You are a busy lady. Where do you find the time? Anyway, I say enjoy every moment. When the little lady comes, enjoy every precious moment. They grow up super fast.

Ooooohhh, such a pretty quilt! And you've been Super Mommy in the process. Where are you getting all of that energy from? Maybe you've got the good hormones (smile). Can't wait to see all of those upcoming projects.

How do you just whip up these projects so quickly?! The quilt is amazing...the heart pattern is very pretty and so sweet for a gift for your little baby girl. And the back is so cool! Amazing job.

The quilt is beautiful. I love that you picked fabric with meaning behind it (from your travels) too. I can't believe it is almost Thanksgiving already - but am glad it's here! I need a mini-break from the new job already though it's been going really well. Just a lot thrown at me at once!!!
