FO Orangina

I have blocked Orangina and am moving along with Ms. Marigold. I think that I will try Oragnina again with a black colored yarn, similar to Wendy Bernard's from Knit and Tonic. This marks my 3rd finished sweater in 2007. Only 9 more to go for the Dozen Sweater KAL. While this isn't my favorite peice (Wicked still wins), I think that I'm happy I tried something different with two varying colors and textures. A nice funky peice to spice up my wardrobe. Of course I imagine the black Orangina will be great!

Ms. Marigold...Again

I have finished Orangina....I'll post pics to the FOs this evening. I have started Ms. Marigold again. It was not working out well using Debbie Bliss' silk alpaca, so I'm now using 100% bamboo. Here's the progress so far.

Preblocked Orangina

As promised, here's the latest progress on my Orangina. I am currently blocking it and will sew up the side seams today and tomorrow. This will mark sweater number three. I'm happy with the look so far, even though it's not yet blocked. The fit seems good as well.

I am now starting on Ms. Marigold using 100% Bamboo yarn by South West Trading Company in a beautiful butter color.

I am also about to order yarn from KPixie for the Cable-Down Raglan pattern by Stefanie Japel as part of the KAL. I usually do only one project at a time, but will try to stretch myself a bit with two projects.

As always - I'll keep you posted.

Orangina Comes to a Close...sort of....

I have finished the ribbing on Orangina and am now blocking it before sewing up the sides and the shoulders. I will post quick photos in the morning.

New Addition to the Family!

After grieving from the loss of my cat Tupper, we have been blessed with a new addition to the family. Tupper and Hannah were best friends and Sisters, living together for over 10 years, now Hannah has been very lonely. My boyfriend and I went to the Helen Woodward Humane Society and got a 11 month old male sweetheart. We named him Scofield. He was transferred from Kentucky to San Diego to avoid being euthanized and is now our newest addition. I'm so excited.

Orangina to the Back

I am happy to report that I have finised the front part of Orangina using a lavendar color. I have now started (3" down and 15" to go) the lace parttern for the back using a beautiful amethyst colored wool. My plans are to either use the amethyst for the bottom ribbing for both the front and back, or do a corrugated ribbing pattern with both the lavendar and amethyst. Here's a picture with of the two colors. I welcome suggestions.

Orangina in the Front

After missing several increases on my Somewhat Cowl, I have put it aside and started Orangina by Glampyre Knits. It's a sexy shell that can go from work to evening with just a few alterations and accessory changes. I plan on frogging my Somewhat Cowl piece and restarting later this weekend after getting a hefty amount of Orangina done.

Crawling Cowl...Somewhat

After whipping through Green Gable and Wicked by the Zephyr Girls, I am going unusually slow with Wendy Bernard's Somewhat Cowl. Here's my progress so far.

Despite the lack of speed, I do like the pattern for the sweater and am happy to be using my stash yarn since it was a gift from my boyfriend on his trip to China when his brother lived there. It has a nice elasticity to it, which should be perfect for this pattern.

I'll keep you posted!
