Here's the pics of my latest FO - Summertime Tunic and my cast-on for Fifi. Despite having not enjoyed this project, it's a cute knit. It was fun being able to add a lace top underneath and wear it to work. Also, I've started Fifi last night. I'm on the 11th row and enjoying it so far.

I have finaly completed the Summertime Tunic. I will be wearing it to work tomorrow. My boyfriend gets back from out-of-town at 1:00 am this morning, so I won't be bugging him to take a pic of me until later on in the evening. FO pics to come....
I have also cast-on for my latest project - Fifi. I wasn't sure which project to start, but with all of the fast SKC knitters, I figured it was now or never. I'm using CottonEase and am enjoying it so far. Since I'm picking up Tully at 1:00 am, I'll be knitting while watching Discover Channel's Shark Week in order to keep myself awake. Hopefully I'll have good (an accurate) progress.

I have finished the back of the summertime tunic. I have 4 inches til the front is completed and an FO will be here! I am going to go to Michael's for lunch and pick up ribbon for the project. I will be soooo happy to have an FO done. For whatever reason, things slowed down after I completed Rusted Root and Sahara for the last SKC KAL. I'm also planning on checking out the cottonease colors for Fifi since Luv2Stitch has a beautiful Fifi FO made from cottonease.
I have never used it, but am willing to try it for this project. I have so much yarn in my stash right now for planned projects. I have yarn for a camisole from Knitting Lingerie Style, yarn for Nicole from ChicKnits, yarn for the Textured Tunic from Fitted Knits, yarn for the Drop-Stitch tank from Fitted Knits, yarn for Tomato, yarn for Coachella, and numerous other projects. I also am halfway finished my Not-So-Shrunken Cardigan from Wendy Bernard. I completed one, except for the sleeves, but decided it was too big. I restarted and am doing short rows to allow me to make a snugger fit (with room for the girls), but since it's a wool project, the San Diego summer hasn't motivated me to finish. With all this said (well...written), why am I still searching for more yarn??!!?? Addiction can be a terrible thing, even in yarn form. Hopefully I'll cast on for Fifi and Tomato sometime this weekend.

I am only an inch away from splitting the Summer-time Tunic front to shape the armholes. I'm planning on knitting for part of my lunch to get to that point today. I want to show progress pics - but it won't look any different until I get to that part of the pattern.
In other news - I have been eating 100% raw and living vegan foods for nine days...well today is day nine. Since I've started, my parents and sister have all joined me (via telephone since they live in Vermont)on my raw journey. Here's a pic of my lunch. I'm having mini-eggplant pizzas, collard green salad, and spicy jicama fries. Breakfast was a juicy pineapple and later today for snack I brought mango and cherries. Not too shabby for healthy food! If I keep this up - as I plan to, I'll be able to use a bit less yarn for my projects.
While I haven't done much in the world of quilting, a friend of mine and I have decided to get together to sew. She makes wonderful clothes, which I've always wanted to do in addition to knitting and quilting. I'll be sooo excited to start making clothes.
I have made more progress on the Summertime Tunic. I have about 2 more inches to go before I split the front and back to shape the armholes. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. I'm already considering whether I'll start on Tomato or purchase some cottonease to try my hand at Fifi. I will put up pics as soon as I separate the front and back.
Two pics for the day. The first is a picture of Scofield playing in my grocery bag (sans food of course). He looks naughtily cute doesn't he?!
I have taken the 30 day raw challenge from Alissa Cohen's website on Living on Raw food. I went to a Raw Food seminar on Saturday and was immediately excited. Today is day one. Here's a pic of my "pasta" lunch. It's actually zucchini.
As a quick update - I am still working singularily on the Summertime Tunic. I am still not into it, but determined to wear it before the summer is up...of course living in San Diego doesn't make it that much of a challenge. Updated pics soon.

Here is my slow growing Summertime Tunic. I must say this has been the slowest project to date. I really thing it's the Lang Musica yarn that is soooo elastic. Hard to get use to. I am knitting in the round until it's long enough to separate for the front and back. I am really itching to start another project, like Tomato, or even Nicole from ChicKnits. I'm just afraid, I won't get back to the tunic. It should be a nice piece to wear for summer in San Diego, so I'm just continuing to push forward. I just wish it was pushing forward FASTER.

Here's my progress so far...along with a pic I took this past weekend. If this is how great fireworks can be at a wedding, I'm excited to see the spectacular event for the Fourth!

I have made more progress on the Summertime Tunic. I am finally past the 1 x 1 ribbing. I thought those 2 inches were going to never end. I am now working on the 12 inches of stockinette. Even though this is an easy project, it's not as enjoyable as I was expecting. This is partially due to the extra stretchiness of my yarn, which I'm still not use to yet. It's 50% nylon, which is a bit much perhaps. Either way - it's coming along. I'll have photo updates this evening. I took the wrong cord and can't upload till I get home. I will also take some time to cast on for tomato at lunch today. My yarn came in from Little Knits and it is absolutely fabulous!
